Ever since I was a young child in Madison, WI, I've been fascinated by the power of computers. There's photos of me as a young child staring at a DVD player for hours, trying to understand how they worked. These interests have continued into my adulthood, driving me to start the undergraduate Computer Engineering program at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. Whether writing motor controller firmware the RoboJackets robot teams to profiling new computer architectures in my Center for Research into Novel Computing Hierarchies VIP, I’ve firsthand seen the power that work at the intersection of hardware and software can bring.
Along the way, I haven't lost sight of the youth programs that developed my interests in the field of computing in the first place. As an alumni of FRC Team 1306, I continue to be involved as a volunteer in many Georiga FIRST events, with the plan to begin mentorship in a few years time.
